Cory Lidle dies in plane crash 10/11

It has been confirmed that Cory Lidle was flying the plane that hit the 20th floor of a New York high-rise today, killing both himself and a person living in the apartment building.

This is a very sad day indeed. Certain Phillies players notwithstanding, Lidle was considered a good guy by many of his teammates, and this would truly be a sad end, putting all that Steinbrenner/Torre, "win at all cost" bullshit in its proper perspective.
